Get online in 3 steps
- Buy: your QR code arrives by email, usually within 1 hour. Check your spam folder too.

Install (Wi-Fi needed)
- iPhone: Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM / Add Cellular Plan → scan the QR code. Choose SKT for cellular data and turn off "Allow Cellular Data Switching".
- Android: Settings → Connections → SIM manager → Add eSIM / mobile plan → scan the QR code. Set mobile data to the eSIM.
- Can't scan the QR on the same phone? Save it as a photo and choose it from the scan screen, or type in the SM-DP+ address and activation code from the email.
- Go: you're connected. If you see "3G" at the top, restart your phone once.
Before you buy: does your phone work?
Your phone needs all 3:
- eSIM support: dial *#06#. If you see an EID, your phone has eSIM.
- Unlocked: no carrier or country lock. iPhone: Settings → General → About → Carrier Lock should say "No SIM restrictions".
- iPhone: iOS 15 or later. Update first if needed.
Works on: iPhone XR / XS and newer (incl. SE 2nd gen+) · Galaxy S20 and newer, all Z Fold / Z Flip, S23 FE and newer, A35 / A36 / A54–A57 · Pixel 4 and newer · some Motorola, Xiaomi, OPPO, Sony, Huawei models.
Won't work: most iPhones bought in mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao · Galaxy from mainland China, Hong Kong or Taiwan · carrier-locked phones · iPad, tablets and watches.
Android phones bought in Korea are not guaranteed. Even if your model is listed, no EID on *#06# means no eSIM.

Calls, texts & passport check
Data only? No passport check needed. Data works right after you install.
- Receive calls & texts: verify your passport online at skroaming.com/passport (daily 08:00–22:00 KST). Outside those hours, visit an SK Telecom roaming center at the airport.
- Make calls & send texts: add prepaid credit at skroaming.com (₩5,500–55,000). Think of it like a phone card: calls in Korea are ₩4.4 per second, texts ₩33, international calls from ₩990 per minute.
- Unused credit expires when your plan ends and can't be refunded.
- After passport verification you can receive texts on your 010 number. Korean identity verification (PASS) isn't supported, and some apps' verification or payment texts may not arrive.
- How to dial: Korean mobiles 010-xxxx-xxxx · overseas 00700 + country code + number · friends abroad call you at +82 + your number without the first 0.
When does my plan start and end?
- Your plan starts the moment you install the eSIM and counts in 24-hour blocks. Example: this 7-day plan installed on 2 July at 17:00 ends on 9 July at 17:00.
- Install within 1 year of purchase, and only when you're ready to start using it.
- When the plan ends, data stops and any call credit expires.
- Need more days? Buy a new plan before yours ends and install it after the old one finishes.
Refund policy
- Full refund if you haven't scanned the QR code and it's within 30 days of payment. If you scanned it but your phone is locked or doesn't support eSIM, we'll check and refund.
- No refund after scanning the QR code (except the case above), after 30 days, for moving to another phone, if you delete the eSIM while using it, or for stopping early.
- How to ask: email support@thegosim.com with your order number and the reason. For phone problems, attach a screenshot.
- Refunds go back to your original payment method. Timing depends on your card company.
- Call and text credit is paid to SK Telecom separately and isn't refunded by us.

FAQ
Can I keep my home SIM? Yes. Keep your home number active and use this eSIM for data.
Do I get a Korean number? Yes, a real 010 number. Receive after passport check, call after adding credit.
Can I move it to another phone or reinstall it? No. Once scanned, it works only on that phone.
I deleted the eSIM by mistake. It can't be restored. You'll need a new plan.
I'm already in Korea. Can I buy now? Yes. This store is made for travelers already in Korea.
